<itunes:subtitle>Episode #98 - 12/31/11 - FINAL EPISODE ON WLTT!</itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:summary><![CDATA[ This just in: Wilmington Rants Radio has been CANCELLED from the Big Talker WLTT. According to Hometown Media's Program Director, they want the station to be less "hateful and emotional". My show has been desribed as a lot of things, but never "hateful". He even conceded that the show has been wildly popular - but the new plan is to play nice, don't hold anyone accountable, make friends, and reserve emotion. Typical establishment mentality. Anyway, this final episode, which was recorded before the cancellation news, deals with what's going on at the NHC County Commission. Also, Occupy Wilmington updates, and what that means locally. Plus, we cover the issue with the developer asking for a satellite annexation from the city of Wilmington to circumvent county zoning policy. The issue has since passed the Council, despite caselaw showing this type of agreement to be considered "illegal contract zoning". ]]></itunes:summary>
